88 businesses inspected by CoVID-19 Compliance Task Force, 55 complying with physical distancing protocols
Eighty-eight (88) businesses were inspected by the CoVID-19 Compliance Task Force at the end of the April 24th limited operation day.
This was to ensure that institutions adhere to the social and physical distancing protocols and other measures.
Chairman of the CoVID-19 National Task Force, Mr. Abdias Samuel, gave this information in relation to the number of businesses.
Mr. Samuel said not all businesses were complying with the social and physical distancing protocols.

The SRO No. 15 of 2020 Emergency Powers (CoVID-19) Regulations, state that “a person who contravenes or fails to comply with these Regulations shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or to both and to forfeiture of any goods or money in respect of which the offence has been committed.”
