20-year-old Deangelle Berridge of Saddlers Village, St. Kitts, was charged by police for the murder of 20-year-old Alisha Dunrod of Sprott Street in Basseterre. 

Circumstances are that the Police responded to the scene of the incident along Central Street, Basseterre, following an emergency call that was made to 911 sometime after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3^rd.  

The information received stated that a young woman had been stabbed and needed assistance.  

A Police Communiqué says investigations have revealed that Dunrod was injured during an altercation.

She was transported to the JNF General Hospital via the Emergency Medical Service (EMS), but succumbed to her injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.  

Berridge was charged on Thursday, October 6^th and has been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison.

Authorities have told the VONNEWSLINE that Dunrod’s death is the 8^th murder for 2022, thus far.
