Police Investigating Fatal Traffic Accident in Cotton Ground
The Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident which occurred around 9 p.m. on December 20th, in Cotton Ground, Nevis.
It involved RA355 which is owned by Derrick Parry of Springhill, but was being driven by Boswell Lescott of Craddock Road. Investigations into Tuesday’s incident have so far revealed that Lescott was heading from Upper Cotton Ground to Lower Cotton Ground when he got into the vicinity of a bar in the area and lost control of the vehicle. Preliminary reports indicate that he collided with a parked vehicle before colliding with a large rock.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services were summoned to the scene and assisted with extracting Lescott from the vehicle. He appeared unconscious and was transported to the Alexandra Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the next day, Wednesday December 21st.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Meanwhile, an autopsy is scheduled to be performed.
