As the countdown to the celebration of Culturama 50 continues, the Nevis Culturama Committee has made some announcements to the general public.
One such announcement is an initiative being done through a collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism, the Nevis Tourism Authority and the Culturama Secretariat. The aim of the programme is to provide alternative and affordable accommodation to visitors and returning nationals and to also provide an authentic Nevisian experience that will bring economic benefits to locals and assist in attaining sustainable tourism. Persons would be able to rent a room in their home, an apartment/guest house or luxury homes and villas.
Another announcement is the provision of one full scholarship each year to the Miss Culture Queen Pageant winner by Munroe College. This funding will cover all tuition and fees to study in New York, and will stay with the awardee for the eight semesters required to earn a Bachelor’s degree provided she stays in good academic standing. Additionally, the Culturama Secretariat is currently accepting entries for the Culturama 50 Jingle Competition. All entries should be submitted to jinglecompetition@culturamanevis.com by Friday, March 29th, 2024 at 8:00 pm. The winner of the Culturama 50 Jingle Competition will be awarded a cash prize.
