A free Pap Smear Screening will be held at two (2) health centres on Nevis, (this Saturday) Jan. 27th, which forms part of Cervical Cancer Awareness month, being observed under the theme: “Learn, Prevent, Screen.”

A Pap smear is used to screen for Cervical Cancer.

The screening will be put on by the Community Health Nursing Services and the Health Promotion Unit (HPU), both of which are part of the NIA.

Screening will be conducted at the Charlestown and Gingerland Health Centres. The screening starts from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. For more information contact the Charlestown Health Centre at 469-5521.
