Nevis recorded its 1^st House Fire on Wednesday Jan 15^th, 15 days into the year 2020.

 A house fire occurred in the Montpelier Estate area here on the island and based on videos as well as photos on social media platforms, the structure was completely engulfed in flames.

 The VONNEWSLINE spoke with Divisional Fire Officer in the St. Kitts-Nevis Fire & Rescue Services (Nevis Division), Mr. Garfield Hodge, who gave us this update.

Nonetheless, when asked about signs of arson (which is the criminal act of deliberately setting fire to property), he gave this comment.

We also asked Mr. Hodge if any casualties were recorded or if anyone was impacted by the blaze.
