Lake Health and Wellbeing holds Panel Discussion on NCDs

Lake Health and Wellbeing, a non-profit organization that seeks to educate and promote the community on health, held a youth panel on October 31st, in recognition of the Global Week for Action on NCDs (October 15-22 2024).

 

The events were held under the theme: “Time to Lead”. Panelist, Dr. Tivon Browne shared this about NCDS (Non-Communicable Diseases):

The panel focused on many topics of education and prevention such as the prevalence of physical inactivity amongst the youth in the federation. Youth Health Advocate for Lake Health and Wellbeing, Genesia Pemberton asserted:

NCDs are the #1 cause of death and disability worldwide and the annual Global Week for Action on NCDs seeks to ensure NCD prevention and management get the attention and action they deserve, everywhere, for everyone.
