Gov’t of SKN issues public announcement following “false” investment platform
The Government of St. Kitts & Nevis has issued a public announcement, addressing recent misinformation circulating, in relation to a so-called state program.
The program promises income to citizens through an investment platform. In the public announcement, the Federal Government said “this information is false and misleading, crafted to deceive the public of St. Kitts and Nevis.”
It added “the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, operates transparently and does not endorse or participate in schemes involving private, unverified financial platforms.”
As such, the public is asked to take note that any significant national initiatives, particularly those involving financial benefits to citizens, are communicated directly to the public through official, credible channels and other recognized media sources.
The Government urged all citizens to “remain vigilant and cautious when reading or sharing information online…ensure your sources are credible, trusted, and officially registered in the Federation.”
