Vehicles to be imported with tint less than 35% will not be allowed in SKN from Asian countries

The Licensing Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has issued a release referencing Tint Regulations on Vehicle Importation to the federation.

According to the release, all vehicles that are imported must comply with the minimum Windscreen and Window Tint allowance of 35% light transmittance.

This requirement is in place to ensure public safety and adherence to the Vehicle standards in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The release further stated that vehicles shipped from Japan, Europe and other Asian countries will undergo inspections before shipment by inspectors that are approved by the St. Kitts and Nevis Bureau of Standards and the Licensing Authority.

Vehicles that exceed the minimum tint requirement will not be permitted to board the vessel.

It is now mandatory for individuals who wish to purchase their vehicles from overseas, to seek confirmation of the tint from the seller, before going through-with the purchase or shipping process to avoid unnecessary delays and additional costs.
