Under the theme, “Read! Decorate! Celebrate!” the Nevis Public Library is hosting its Holiday Reading Competition, entitled: “Tree of Tales”, until Monday December 23rd.
The competition is divided into categories for youths aged 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-16, and the over 17 category.
Here are the rules:
Participants are only eligible if they are members of the Nevis Public Library.
Participants are asked to complete an ornament for each book read until December 23rd, 2024 and hang them on a tree.
Ornament cutouts as well as half of the books are expected to be read by participants of the library. The winners will be announced on December 24th and will be given prizes for having read the most books for their category.
Additionally, a special prize will be given to the participant with the best decorated ornament.
Persons may become members and participate by signing up at the Nevis Public Library with a parent or guardian if below age 18.
