Papsmear screening to be held this Saturday, “the only cost you have to pay is saving your life” says Nevis’ Health Services Coordinator

Recognizing Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in January, the Community Health Nursing Services on Nevis will conduct free Papsmears on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30a.m. They will be available at the Charlestown, Brown Hill, Gingerland, Combermere and Cotton Ground Health Centres.

Some Papsmear Preparation Tips are to avoid sexual intercourse for at least 48 hours, avoid douching for at least 24 hours, and only do a Papsmear at least five days after completion of your menstrual cycle.
