Thursday February 13^th, the Nevis Inter – Primary Schools Tourism Quiz, was held at the Nevis Performing Arts Center, featuring both the private and public primary schools on the island, excluding the St. James Primary.

The students were questioned in the categories of Cultural Heritage, Geography/Environment, and Caribbean Tourism.

The St. Thomas’ Primary emerged as the undisputed winner of the event with 35 points.  However, second and third places could not be instantly determined as fours schools were tied with 30 points each: the Ivor Walters Primary (IWPS), Maude Cross Preparatory, Violet O. Jeffers Nichols Primary (VOJN) and the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS).

In the first round of tiebreakers, the IWPS, and the VOJN schools were eliminated, leaving Maude Cross and JLPS to bat for second and third place:

That was the question which determined second place for the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School and third for the Maude Cross Preparatory School.
