Rawlins man found with .380 caliber ammunition magazine

The Police have charged Xhavion Browne of Rawlins, Nevis, for the offence of Possession of Firearm (ammunition magazine). The charge stems from a search warrant executed at his home on February 13th, 2025, by officers and soldiers of the St. Kitts – Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF).

 

 The search led to the discovery of one (1) .380 caliber ammunition magazine. The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected the contraband item and others of evidential value. Mr. Browne was subsequently taken into Police custody where he was charged on the same day at the Newcastle Police Station.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, the police in St. Kitts issued a total of 58 tickets during several vehicle checkpoints on Friday. According to the new regulations on road safety, offences recorded during the operation included:

 

  • 38 cases of exceeding the speed limit

  • 3 cases of failing to comply with traffic signs

  • 4 cases of driving without a seatbelt

  • 1 case of driving with a child without a child seat

  • 2 cases of identification marks not conforming to regulations

  • 2 cases of driving without an identification mark at the front

  • 5 cases of illegal dark tinting on windscreens and windows

  • 2 cases of driving unlicensed vehicles

  • 1 case of using a defective tire showing thread.

 

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force reminds all motorists to adhere to road traffic laws to ensure a safer driving environment for all.
