Road users convicted and fined for illegal driving in St. Kitts
A number of persons were convicted for various traffic violations and fined on Thursday, February 13th at the Basseterre Magistrates Court before Her Honor Sherry-Ann Liburd-Charles in St. Kitts.
Kiam Farrell of West Farm was charged for driving without due care and attention on May 17th, 2024. He was convicted and fined $2,000.00, payable by February 28th, 2025 or serve 30 days in prison.
Vaughn Huggins of La Guerite, was also charged for the offence of Driving without due care and attention which was committed on February 19th, 2023. Mr. Huggins was found guilty and fined $1,500.00, payable in two (2) months or 14 days imprisonment.
Kuame Mayers of Shadwell was charged for numerous offences, Driving without a valid and unexpired driver’s license and Driving without insurance, committed February 18th, 2022. He received a $1,000.00 fine, payable in one (1) month or 14 days imprisonment for not having a valid license and an additional $1,000.00 fine for driving without insurance and is expected to be paid within two (2) months or 14 days imprisonment.
Both Davena Powell of Newtown Ground and Maria Federick of Shaw Avenue were charged for Driving without due care and attention. They were convicted and fined $2,000.00 each. Powell and Federick are expected to make payment within two (2) months or serve 14 days imprisonment.
