InterCaribbean Airways introduced a specially painted ATR 42-500 aircraft, featuring the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis on its tail on Monday, at an official unveiling ceremony at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.
Among the attendees were Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrence Drew, Minister of Tourism-St. Kitts, Hon. Marsha Henderson, other Members of Cabinet, Turks and Caicos Islands – Minister of Public Safety and Civil Aviation Authority, Otis C. Morris and Chief Executive Officer of InterCaribbean Airways, Trevor Sadler.
In a tribute to the nation, the aircraft has been named the “Spirit of Saint Kitts and Nevis,” symbolizing the airline’s deep appreciation for the government and people of the Federation. St. Kitts & Nevis and interCaribbean Airways’ partnership began on March 12th 2023, with the airline’s inaugural flight to the destination, marking the beginning of a strengthened regional air connection.
The unveiling ceremony showcased the airline’s commitment to St. Kitts & Nevis and its crucial role in bolstering tourism and economic growth in the region. The branded aircraft serves as a testament to the destination’s continued drive to innovate and position itself as a leading destination in the Caribbean.
