Authorities issue guidelines for tint on commercial vans

The Licensing Authority in St. Kitts & Nevis has approved new guidelines for tint on commercial vans.

As such, the Royal St. Christopher & Nevis Police Force said on social media on Thursday Mar. 27th, “commercial vans that are exclusively used for cargo purposes and do not have rear passenger seating are permitted to cover the rear side windows with tint below 35% light transmittance or advertising material.”

This allowance applies only to vans where rear side windows are not essential for driver visibility and where no passenger seating is installed

The rear windscreen and front windows of these commercial vans must conform to existing tint regulations, which require a minimum of 35% light transmittance.
