Nationals from St. Kitts and Nevis, more so students studying in Taiwan are not at high risk as it relates to the coronavirus.
Chinese scientists have identified a previously unknown type of coronavirus as the cause of a recent pneumonia outbreak in the city of Wuhan, according to reports coming out of the country. The number of deaths in Hubei rose from 56 to 76, with five deaths elsewhere.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) here in St. Kitts and Nevis Dr. Hazel Laws spoke about the exposure to virus by nationals studying in the territory.
But how grave is the risk of exposure to the virus to the population here in the twin island nation?
The CMO explained that the health authorities here in the federation are prepared and ready in the eventuality that a case is reported here in St. Kitts and Nevis.
