SKN signs MOU with Nigeria’s Green Economic Zone to establish “trans-Atlantic trade”
St. Kitts & Nevis signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in late March, with the Nigeria-based Green Economic Zone (GEZ) Special Economic Zone Management Company, paving the way for the development of a state-of-the-art Agro-Hub Warehouse and Logistics Center in the Federation.
The main objective of this project according to the Federal Government, “is the establishment of the African-Caribbean Atlantic Cooperation (ACAC), an initiative that seeks to facilitate the direct movement of goods between the West Coast of Africa and the Caribbean.”

Considering goods will be travelling from a far distance, Minister Duggins who signed the MOU while in Nigeria, explained during his 1st Quarter press conference on April 3rd, that the goods will be travelling directly to and from SKN to Africa and vice versa.
