Integrity in Public Life Declarations due by April 30th

All individuals required to file under the Integrity in Public Life (IPL) Act are reminded to ensure that their completed declarations are submitted to the IPL Commission by Wednesday, April 30th, 2025.

That’s according to a notice from the IPL Commission. In the notice, the Commission said “timely compliance is essential.”

Persons in key positions of Government (such as Ministers of Government and Permanent Secretaries) are required to file their respective declarations of Income, Assets, and Liabilities, under the IPL act, which forms part of an effort to eliminate corruption for persons holding public office positions.

However, if a person fails to submit his or her declarations, according to Section 30 of the IPL Act, that person “commits an offence, and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding $EC 30,000 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding five years.”
