Terrance Ritchen, 41, of Tuckett Street, Ponds Pasture and Recaldo Marsham, 38, of Godwin Ghaut, St. Kitts were victims of a shooting incident on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred in Ponds Pasture. Both male victims were transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital via a private vehicle.

Shortly after arriving at the hospital, one of the victims, Mr. Marsham succumbed to his injuries. Mr. Ritchen was admitted to the surgical ward after undergoing x-rays and medical treatment and is reported in a stable condition.

Police arrived on the scene at 9:16 p.m. Investigations have indicated that the victims were at a business establishment when a lone gunman approached and opened fire striking both men.

According to a press release, officers from the Crime Scene Unit, processed the scene and collected items of evidential value and the body was secured at the hospital pending a scheduled autopsy.

The release continued by saying: “All investigative resources are being utilized to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. The public is urged to contact the nearest police station with any information that may assist with the investigation”.
