Shooting in Bird Rock, St. Kitts under investigation
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the Bird Rock area of St. Kitts, in the vicinity of the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department, on the night of July 11th, 2025, between 10pm and 11pm.
Preliminary investigations indicate that multiple assailants travelling in a black BMWX5opened fire on a Honda CRV while both vehicles were headed towards Bird Rock, with the Honda CRV in front. Following the discharge of several rounds, the assailants fled the area.
Shortly after, RSCNPF officers encountered the suspect vehicle in the vicinity of Potato Bay, Frigate Bay, and pursued it. Officers discharged their firearms in an effort to immobilize the vehicle; however, the attempt was unsuccessful. Fortunately, none of the five occupants of the Honda CRV sustained any injuries during the incident.
The Crime Scene Unit processed the location and recovered several items of evidential value. Presently, one individual is in Police custody assisting with ongoing investigations. The RSCNPF stated it will continue to provide updates as the investigation progresses.
