That was Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, Mr. Timothy N. J. Antoine. He was giving remarks on the launch of the UTC Global Balanced Fund in the Federation.

According to the organization’s website, it is a “US Dollar denominated Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) investing in international stocks and regional and international bonds.”  The fund also gives personal access to “global investment opportunities by allowing ordinary investors to pool their funds and invest in a broad range of global securities.”

Governor Antoine expressed that the opening of the fund aligns with central bank’s vision for financial inclusion in the currency union and that the financial system should work for all except illicit actors:
