Numbers from Fair Share Report not matching local stats says Premier
The numbers being outlined in the World Bank’s Fair Share Report does not match the numbers being received by the island of Nevis according to Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley.
During his press conference for the month of July, Premier Brantley stated that his cabinet had met and deliberated on the much-anticipated report from the World Bank, on how the revenue from the Citizenship by Investment Programme (CBI) should be shared between St. Kitts and Nevis.
Following months of scrutiny from the Nevisian public, he voiced his concern regarding the report, the statistics including in it and how the information had been obtained.
He continued:
Premier Mark Brantley. He went on to say that the Nevis Island Administration had not been consulted regarding the preparation of the report and that according to the document, the numbers were allegedly gained from the island’s budget. He also stated that “the appetite could be sensed on the federal level to resolve the issue” and work would be done in the best interest of the people of Nevis.
