21 Children appointed as Child Ambassadors

Mock Instruments of Appointment have been given to 21 children ranging from age 9 to 15, across the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis declaring them as Child Ambassadors. They are:

This group of children join other children in Barbados as well as Antigua and Barbuda as part of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Child Rights Ambassadors Programme launched in the Eastern Caribbean this year. They will advocate for their fellow peers informing government policies and other initiatives.

Meantime – Ms. Azilla Clarke, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Social Development in St. Kitts, spoke on how the evaluation process would be done to inform policies that will benefit children:
