The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a late-night shooting in Taylor’s Village, St. Kitts.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 6^th, between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. According to reports, an unidentified gunman fired multiple shots at the home of Ms. Shermin Walters, who was awaken by the sound of gunfire.

Police discovered several bullet holes in a window and damage to furniture inside the residence. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The Crime Scene Unit collected evidence and investigations are ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.

The Police Force is urging anyone with information to come forward or contact the nearest police station or call Crime Stoppers Hotline anonymously at 707.

In more police news—The Nevis division of Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a robbery that occurred in Ramsbury, Nevis, during the early hours of August 5^th, between 2:30AM and 5AM.

Mr. Dochand Lalljit, a 41-year-old resident of Ramsbury, reported to the Police that upon arriving home from a social event, he was accosted at knifepoint in his yard by an unknown individual wearing a dark hoodie and black pants. Mr. Lalljit stated that the assailant demanded he hand over any valuables.

He complied and the robber made off with his wallet that contained cash, his identification cards, and other personal effects before fleeing the scene on foot.

An investigation has been launched into the incident and updates will be issued appropriately as it progresses. Anyone who may have information about this incident is strongly urged to contact the Charlestown Police Station, or report anonymously via the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 707.
