Authorities are investigating a significant contraband find in the Lower Monkey Hill area of St. Peter’s, St. Kitts.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force said that on Friday August 15^th, officers of the Anti-Narcotics Unit conducted a routine search of a vacant lot and discovered a nine-millimeter pistol with five rounds of ammunition, along with one kilogram of cocaine wrapped in red tape.

The substance was later confirmed to be cocaine. The Crime Scene Unit processed the area and the items were taken into police custody. So far, no one has been held responsible.
