SKN’s Foreign Minister pays courtesy call on Japan’s Foreign Affairs Minister

SKN’s Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs et al the Rt. Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, His Excellency, Miyaji Takuma, which formed part of the official visit to World EXPO 2025 – Osaka.

 

The Federation has benefitted from support for the Fisheries Sector, Human Resource Capacity Building and the National Emergency Management Agency. The State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan committed to building on the established cooperation and additional areas of interest for national development.

 

Foreign Minister Douglas re-iterated his commitment to supporting Japan in the international arena through key votes on Resolutions and for Candidates in key International Organisations, which allows Japan to lend its voice to the issues of Small Island Developing States critical to the Federation’s development.

 

Both Ministers hailed the success of the decades-old diplomatic relationship between both countries and look forward to a stronger relationship. SKN has had diplomatic relations with Japan since Jan. 14th 1985.
