33rd annual coastal cleanup slated Sep. 20th

Volunteer at the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS) and Coordinator for the Ocean Conservancy’s international coastal cleanup, Ms. Miriam Knoor.

 

She was speaking about the coastal cleanup, which will be spearheaded by the NHCS, in collaboration with Ocean Conservancy (a nonprofit environmental advocacy group based in Washington, D.C., United States).

 

The activity will begin at 6am. In 2024, over 2300 pounds of garbage was collected over a nine-mile area. Ms. Knoor told the VONNEWSLINE eleven beaches are accounted for.
