Two non-fatal shooting incidents occurred during the morning hours of Thursday Sep. 18th: the day before SKN’s 42nd anniversary of Independence.
The first one took place in Newcastle, Nevis. A police spokesperson told the VONNEWSLINE one male was injured and was transported to the Alexandra Hospital. Reports on social media indicated he was grazed. The VONNEWSLINE received word about this incident sometime after 8am.
Then, a few hours later, around 11am, also occurring the same morning, a shooting incident occurred in Halfway Tree St. Kitts.
One male was shot in one of his hands.
Police continue to investigate these non-fatal shooting incidents. Anyone who has information about these incidents is urged to call 465-2241, your nearest police station or the crime hotline at 707.
