A wounding incident that occurred in St. Paul’s, St. Kitts, on Thursday Sep. 25th is being investigated by officers of Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.
Officers responded to reports that 18-year-old Tijohn Freeman of St. Paul’s had been wounded with a wooden fishing gun on his left side. Preliminary inquiries revealed that the incident occurred between 12 noon and 1pm and it followed an altercation involving three males at Rawlins Ground.
Mr. Freeman was reportedly shot with the wooden fishing gun while attempting to enter his home. He was initially transported to Pogson Hospital and subsequently transferred to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where he received further medical treatment and was later warded overnight in stable condition for observation.
The alleged offender presented himself at the Dieppe Bay Police Station the same day and was taken into custody on suspicion of Unlawful Wounding.
