CIU marks one year as statutory body & launches CBI Grant

The Citizenship by Investment Unit of St. Kitts and Nevis has officially launched a new Micro Business Grant, aimed at supporting small business owners across the Federation.

 

The initiative, launched in partnership with First Federal Credit Union, will provide 25 micro and small business with EC$10,000 each during the first phase of the program.

 

According to the CIU, the grant is designed to boost entrepreneurship and provide real benefits to the local community, with priority given to women led businesses in keeping with efforts to promote inclusivity and empower female entrepreneurs.

 

Eligible applicants must hold a valid business license and have at least 12 months of continuous operation, with qualifying ventures including snackettes and landscaping services.

 

Applications are now open and will close on October 17th, 2025. Businesses that received a government grant within the past year will not be eligible.

 

Successful applicants will be notified no later than October 25th and all funds must be used strictly for business expenses such as equipment, materials, staffing and marketing.
