St. Kitts and Nevis is mourning the sudden passing of Janet Johnson, a respected pageantry coach and community stalwart, who died Sunday evening – less than 24 hours after witnessing her daughter, Tatiyana Archer, crowned Miss Teen St. Kitts and Nevis 2025-2026.

Ms. Johnson had chaperoned her daughter to the pageant earlier that day. Her passing has sent shockwaves across the national carnival and pageantry community.

She was also the coach of current Miss SKN Queen contestant Taerani Phillip.

The St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee described her as a pillar of the community whose passion, guidance, and unwavering commitment touched countless lives.
