The Nevis Electricity Company Limited (NEVLEC) deployed a second team of linesmen to Jamaica to assist with restoring electricity following the passage of Hurricane Melissa in late October 2025.

The four-member team left Nevis on Sunday, January 18th, as part of ongoing regional support efforts to help repair damage to Jamaica’s electrical grid.

The team is being led by Mr. Clayon Clarke, and includes Mr. Kishawn Hobson, Mr. Conde’Jai Romney, and Mr. Paul Bradshaw. They will be working alongside local crews in Jamaica to help rebuild infrastructure and restore power to affected communities.

NEVLEC has expressed thanks to the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC), for coordinating regional assistance and strengthening cooperation among Caribbean territories during times of disaster.

The company says the deployment reflects the importance of regional partnership and mutual support, as Caribbean nations continue to stand together in the face of natural disasters.
