National Creative Arts Center Expected to Be Completed in Just Over Two Years

On January 9th, 2026, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the National Creative Arts Center expected to be an ecosystem for creative disciplines in the federation and the “largest integrated hub for creatives in the Eastern Caribbean.”
During the first InFocus programme for the year on January 21st, Federal Minister of the Creative Economy, the Hon. Samal Duggins shared this information while discussing the Creative Centre:
The Minister also shared that based on guidance from contractors the estimated completion timeline is just over two years but noted that there are environmental and logistical factors that can delay work such as weather conditions and supply timelines. Minister Duggins also shared this about the contract for the project:
Hon. Samal Duggins. The National Creative Arts Center will include studios and labs for dance, drama, music, modeling, literary and visual arts, robotics, innovation, gaming, and culinary arts, along with classrooms, smart rooms, computer labs, libraries, recording and production studios, rehearsal rooms, sound booths, offices, storage and co-working spaces. The facility also features enclosed theatres, a 3,000-plus capacity arena, commercial and market spaces, restaurants, bars, recreational areas, parking, and public green spaces.
