James Buffong of Lower Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s, St. Kitts, has been charged with the offences of failing to immediately stop at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident within twenty-four hours, Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Escaping lawful custody, Reckless driving, and Failing to provide specimen of blood for a Laboratory Test.
Mr. Buffong was charged at the Basseterre Police Station on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026.
Meanwhile, three men were charged at the Basseterre Police Station for the offence of Larceny. They are:
Althus Whyte of Caunt Street, Newtown, St. Kitts. The offence was committed on Monday, December 15th, 2025, at the Treasury Building, Church Street, Basseterre. Mr. Whyte was charged on Thursday, January 15th, 2026.
Aquande Brown of Basseterre, St. Kitts was charged on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026 and Kelvon Hutton of Taylor’s Housing Development, Basseterre, St. Kitts was charged on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026.
