Nevis’ Department of Agriculture hosted a brief ceremony on Thursday March 5^th, to distribute animal feed to livestock farmers across the island.

The donation, provided by East Caribbean Feeds, a brand of the East Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC), was facilitated through the Ministry of Finance, Nevis, in partnership with local supplier Supply Office.

A total of 489 bags of feed were distributed to 69 farmers, benefiting those involved in poultry, pig and sheep or goat farming, as well as cattle rearing.

Meantime, Deputy Premier and Minister of Agriculture-Nevis, the Hon. Eric Evelyn, gave this comment.
