Having previously shared his experiences on Nevis, renowned travel influencer David Hoffman, known for DavidsBeenHere, recently visited St. Kitts, immersing himself in the island’s rich history, culture, and cuisine.
Over his week-long stay, he highlighted local culinary delights, including a saltfish flatbread at Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, praising its mix of traditional Caribbean flavors with modern techniques.
He also enjoyed fresh crab cakes, noting the emphasis on locally sourced ingredients.
Hoffman explored the UNESCO-listed Brimstone Hill Fortress, calling it one of the most impressive fortresses he has seen, with sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea, rainforests, and volcanic landscapes.
He also rode the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, learning about the island’s sugar production and its historical links to the transatlantic slave trade.
Hoffman emphasized the welcoming local communities across both islands and concluded that while fast food is fun, authentic Caribbean cuisine and history remain the true highlights of the twin-island nation.
