SKN’s PM Dr. Terrance Drew extended congratulations to Antigua & Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne, following the country’s General Elections.
The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), led by Prime Minister Browne, secured an unprecedented fourth consecutive term in office following the Apr. 30th general election. ABLP won 15 of the 17 seats at stake in the election.
The victory extends Browne’s leadership beyond a decade in power, marking a historic moment in the country’s political landscape and reaffirming the ABLP’s hold on government— a first in Antigua and Barbuda’s modern political history.
PM Drew, who is also the Leader of the SKN Labour Party, said on social media on May 1st “I extend warm congratulations to my colleague, Hon. Gaston Browne, and to the Antigua & Barbuda Labour Party on their victory following General Elections.”
He concluded by saying “best wishes for a successful new term.”
