St. Kitts & Nevis’ Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, congratulated the Government and the people of Guyana, as the country celebrates 60 years of Independence.
“I pause to congratulate the Government and the people of Guyana as they celebrate 60 years of Independence. Guyana continues to make remarkable strides, not only for its own people but also in advancing the collective progress of our Caribbean region”, PM Drew said.
Dr. Drew, who is also the Chairman of the Caribbean Community (Caricom), added “as CARICOM family, our histories, aspirations, and futures remain deeply connected.”
He wished “all Guyanese at home and across the diaspora a joyful and meaningful Independence celebration”, on behalf of SKN. Guyana officially gained independence from United Kingdom on May 26th 1966.
