A former member of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), passed away earlier in May, a police spokesperson has confirmed.

Reports on social media suggested that the officer committed suicide.

But, contrary to the reports, a police spokesperson told the VONNEWSLINE “an official cause of death has not yet been ascertained as the autopsy is pending.”

Police have not revealed the identity of the officer and mentioned that they are “unable to provide further details at this time.”

Details remain sketchy but more will be provided on this in the near future.
