Stakeholders Discuss Draft National Energy Policy at Energy Leadership Forum

On Thursday June 18th, 2026, an Energy Mixer event was held to discuss and highlight the work and persons working to implement the SKN 100 national policy.
Attendees from the private sector and public sector stakeholders in were updated on the work being done and were able to ask questions and raise concerns about the implementation of the project.
The SKN 100 project aims to hasten the country’s shift to 100 percent renewable electricity and 100 percent high energy efficiency in public buildings over the next few years.
Among the many realities that make the shift to renewable energy increasingly important is the high cost of energy prices due to our high dependence on fossil fuels.
Speaking at the event, Energy Policy and Regulatory Expert Dylan Clark noted that fossil fuels currently account for approximately 98 percent of electricity generation, underscoring the importance of a national strategy to create a more affordable, secure, resilient and sustainable energy sector:
