PM Drew Addresses Questions on EU Request for Several Caribbean Countries to end CBI Programmes

During his latest Roundtable discussion, Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew addressed questions and concerns by media personnel on the European Union (EU) formally requesting several Caribbean nations including St. Kitts and Nevis to end their Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programmes by 2028.

Dr. Drew continued by saying that the government hopes to preserve visa-free access to the European Union while expanding discussions beyond the Citizenship by Investment programme to broader economic development.

 

He said St. Kitts and Nevis continues engagements on initiatives such as energy independence, increased trade and attracting new investment to strengthen and diversify the economy while speaking on his recent visit and engagements with representatives of the European Union.
