St. Kitts and Nevis has been ranked among the world’s top 10 countries to live in for 2026, placing eighth overall in the Rumavi Global Relocation Index with a score of 70.3. The Federation is also the highest-ranked country in the Caribbean, outperforming all other nations in the region.

The 2026 index evaluates 192 countries based on factors that influence quality of life, including affordability, healthcare, safety, governance, and opportunities for settling and employment. The general rankings use a balanced weighting across these key pillars to identify countries that offer the best overall living conditions.

Estonia claimed the top spot with a score of 72.8, followed by Singapore and Malaysia. Portugal, Taiwan, Lithuania, and Hong Kong also ranked ahead of St. Kitts and Nevis, while Czechia and Malta completed the top 10.

According to the index’s methodology, the rankings are designed to measure where individuals can successfully build a life rather than simply relocate, using 24 metrics across four core categories. The report highlights St. Kitts and Nevis as the Caribbean’s leading destination for overall livability in 2026.
