Friday 28^th and Saturday 29^th August will be Discounted VAT Rate Days (DVRDs) here in St. Kitts and Nevis.

DVRD’s are designed to ease the financial burden on households, boost consumer spending, and support local retailers during critical seasonal periods.

However, vehicles are excluded from the discounted rate. Vehicles will be included in the discounted rate for the Christmas season and the scheduled days are: Friday Dec. 11^th and Saturday Dec. 19^th.

For the back-to-school DVRD’s, businesses desirous of applying are asked to note that the deadline is this Friday (Aug. 14^th 2026) at the Inland Revenue Department.

The last Discounted VAT Rate Day was held on Friday April 17^th during this year’s Easter period.
