First Federal Expands Reach with New Branch in Molineux, St. Kitts

First Federal Credit Union has expanded its presence beyond Basseterre with the opening of its newest branch in Molineux, marking what the institution describes as a significant milestone in its history.

 

The new branch brings a range of financial services closer to communities on the eastern side of St. Kitts, including deposits, credit facilities, business services, ATM access, night depository services and safety deposit boxes.

 

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dawne Williams made these remarks during the opening ceremony on August 10th, 2026:

 

 

CEO, Dawne Williams. She also noted that the institution entered the western side of the island in 2024 with the installation of a fully functional 24-hour ATM, described as a first for a credit union.

 

Williams also highlighted that the branch’s initial staff members live in surrounding communities, reinforcing the institution’s emphasis on local engagement and economic development.

 

First Federal roots back to 1985, when the Foundation for National Development was established to support small businesses and entrepreneurs. It transitioned into a credit union in 2009 and adopted the First Federal name in 2019. The new branch opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026.
