People’s Action Movement (PAM) will elect its new leader on Tuesday, September 1st 2026, at a Special Caucus. Nominations for the position closed on Tuesday August 25th.
The Council of PAM set the date to choose its sixth Political Leader, which comes on the heels of the official resignation of the holder of the position, Natasha Grey-Brookes, on July 31, 2026.
In the midst of her resignation, Mrs. Grey Brookes stated via social media “our country needs strong leadership, a strong opposition, and a united People’s Action Movement.”
But what about Mrs. Brookes contesting in the next General Elections? In the 2022 General Elections, she ran as a candidate on PAM’s ticket in Constituency #1 (East Basseterre) but was unsuccessful.
