3.5 magnitude occurs near St. Kitts

University of the West Indies-Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC) has reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5, occurred near St. Kitts.

 

UWI-SRC said it took place on Saturday Sep. 12th, at 3:48pm and was located at Latitude: 18.83 degrees North, Longitude: 61.93 degrees West.

 

It struck at a depth of 10 km. Saturday’s quake occurred 192 km, North East Basseterre, St. Kitts, 191 km, North of St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and 228 km, North of Brades, Montserrat.

 

Information from UWI indicates that there were no reports of persons feeling the quake.
