Nine years after his passing, the Eastern Caribbean’s Powerhouse, the Voice Of Nevis (VON) Radio, continues to remember its founding Chairman, the late Mr. Merritt Herbert.

It comes as today, Sep 23rd 2026 marks the ninth anniversary of the Pioneer.

Mr. Merritt Herbert passed away at the age of 80 years on September 23rd 2017, in Connecticut, USA. He was laid to rest at the Combermere Methodist Church’s Cemetery, Nevis.

In 1988, he spearheaded VON Radio’s operations and had business interests in the British Virgin Islands including ZBVI Radio.

Even after his passing, VON Radio continues to be a staple in broadcasting across St. Kitts & Nevis.
