Nevis Residents Invited to Apply for 2027 UN Ocean Law Fellowship

The Nevis Island Administration’s Ministry of Human Resources is inviting qualified nationals to apply for the 2027 Hamilton Shirley Amerasinghe (HAS) Memorial Fellowship on the Law of the Sea.

 

The United Nations fellowship provides candidates from developing states with an opportunity to pursue advanced research and study at participating institutions for three to six months, followed by a one- to three-month internship with the UN Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs.

 

Applicants must be between 25 and 40 years old, have at least five years of relevant work experience and hold a degree or technical training in law, marine sciences, political science, ocean management, port administration or a related field. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to undertake advanced academic research.
