The Nevis Bus Association has announced its annual special island-wide initiative where passengers will have an opportunity to pay just 1 dollar throughout an entire day to any destination on the island.

According to a member of the Nevis Bus Association, Dollar Day will take place on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026 from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. the following day.

This initiative is designed to promote the use of public transportation and give back to the commuting public.

Residents are being encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity by leaving their private vehicles at home and travelling via bus instead.

However, passengers are reminded to pay the exact amount, as the discounted fare applies only to the one-dollar coin. Any use of paper money will require payment of the full or regular fare.
